How can I move, and how can we move? What are the millions of ways that I can articulate my spine, roll through my feet, and turn my head?
For me, one of the most frustrating and captivating things is that we do not know what we are capable of. As humans, our bodies are performing a multitude of tasks synchronously that we are unconscious of. Until we learn in a class that we have cells, it is unknown to us, and this is how I think about dance.
In dance, I am endlessly learning how I can move my own body, and I hope to continuously uncover new patterns and pathways that I did not know existed. I love getting to know how I work better, and dance challenges me in a way where I am constantly learning. Working with others to find new movements and ideas that I would never have thought of. I want to explore it all.
